Rana e Hedhun, which literally means 'thrown sand', is one of Albania's most surprising beaches. Tall sand dunes meet a clear turquoise sea and create a landscape that feels closer to the Sahara than to the Adriatic.
The beach is semi-wild and almost undeveloped, perfect for travellers looking for peace away from the crowds. Bring water, sunscreen and a towel — the rest is pure nature.
